we went to see him right after echo taps.... it was a sad moment for everyone of us, even the NS1's who didn't even know him.

I haven't really visited him since the company picnic... I'm pretty sure that was memorial day, so last time was May. Like Vee said... I talked to him about some stuff and pretty much left because too many people were taking up the road... and driving was unbearable =(

I took some kids over there on the 26th...I go over periodically, just because. We're moving forward, though, and that's good. You guys have a new SNSI and next year's going to be awesome. He's got great plans for you guys and he seems really excited about the job. It should be great.

I'm excited about next year. I'm hoping with a new SNSI, numbers will go up and changes will be made, good ones ^_^

Don't doubt him, he's been an SNSI for 11 and a half years, he knows what he is doing...you couldn't possibly expect LCDR White to have stuck around forever, could you?

No, but I wish he could of...............Things are going to be different this year.......more than last year or my NS1 year............well I'll just use what I learned from Commander White to adjust to the new I guess.

Things happen and life changes. You have to expect the unexpected and learn to go with the moment. If you're optimistic, you'll do better. We were actually just talking about that it my engineering class today. It is a known fact that if you look at something more optimistically, you will do a better job of it. Plus, you'll enjoy it more, and if you're not there to enjoy it, I don't know why you're there. So even though it is different, I know we're all hesitant to think it, but maybe it will even be different for the better....
LCDR Toole is not trying to replace LCDR White, he's simply trying to replace his position. There's a difference. He knows it's hard for you guys. Let him work with you.

I don't mean wake unwanted feeling but What do you guys think NJROTC would be like if Commander White was still alive? Would it really be different, would the staff be who they are now? These are always questions that appear in my mind when I look at the bench in front of the school in the mornings.

I think the leadership of the unit is who it should be and I think LCDR White would have agreed. I can tell you that the leadership is who I think it should be and that he and I almost always saw eye to eye on that because sometimes you guys just make it so darn obvious. I'll come out and say that I think he had some expectations that got us very far very quickly, but that in the end were the cause of our drop in performance. I think what you guys have going right now will take some time to get you back where "we once were", but that in the end it will enable you to hold that position for longer. In other words, I think you guys are doing better now and think perhaps the motivation wouldn't have dropped so sharply if that had never happened, but I think for the most part you are doing the same if not better. You get out of it what you put into it and it's all what you make of it.
